The Pitch
The surface of a Futsal pitch should be smooth, flat and made of non-abrasive material. The use of Wood or Non-Slip Artificial Materials is recommended, while the use Concrete or Tarmac should be avoided.

The FUTSAL Ball
The Ball should be Spherical and made of Leather or other suitable material. Its Circumference should be >62cm and <64cm and its weight <400grams nor >440grams at the start of the match. The ball should be pumped to a pressure equal to 0.4-0.6 atmosphere (400-600g/cm2) at sea level. It must not bounce <50cm nor >65cm on the first rebound when dropped from a height of 2metre.

The Equipment
Jerseys
In Futsal Matches, the colour of the player number should contrast clearly with the colour of the jersey. For International matches, the player number should also appear on the front of the kit, but in a smaller size.
Shorts
If thermal undershorts are worn during a game, they must be in the same colour as the shorts.
Socks
Player's socks must be long enough to reach up to the knee level.
Shinguards
Shinguards must be covered entirely by the socks. They should be made of a suitable materials (rubber, plastic or similar materials) and must provide a reasonable degree of protection.
Footwear
The only types of footwear permitted during Futsal Games are canvas or soft-leather training or gymnastic shoes with soles made of rubber or a similar materials. |
The Players
Start of the Match
The Match is played by 2 teams, each consisting of no more than 5 players, one of whom is the goalkeeper. The maximum number of substitutes permitted is 7.
The number of substitutions permitted during a match is unlimited. A player who has been replaced may return to the pitch as a substitute for another player. During a match the goalkeeper may change places with any other player
Substitution
During a substitution, the player leaving the pitch must do so at his own substitution zone. The player entering the pitch must also do so at his own substitution zone but not until the player leaving the pitch has passed completely over the touch line.
A substitute is subject to the authority and jurisdiction of the referees whether called upon to play or not. The substitution is completed when the substitution enters the pitch, from which moment he becomes a player and the player whom he is replacing ceases to be a player by leaving the pitch. |
